Hotel Bochum Wattenscheid affiliated by Meliá

Pleasant welcome upon arrival, with the receptionist speaking good English. Fairly simply-furnished room, but plenty of storage space. Unfortunately, no tea / coffee making facilities in the room. Comfortable bed meant we enjoyed a good night's sleep, with the hotel being located in a reasonably quiet, semi-industrial area with little activity overnight. Good bathroom facilities, with powerful shower. Breakfast was available in the comfortable restaurant - with friendly staff in attendance - with a decent selection of items including a limited hot selection. Free car parking, with several EV charging points (7kW). Unfortunately, the app for using these only seemed to recognise German SIMs so we were unable to take advantage of overnight charging. As a bit of a bonus the hotel backs on to a Lidl supermarket which enabled us to buy some food for our onwards journey. We will be happy to use this hotel again if we are travelling in this area.

Convenient location, near to charming old town centre with eating options, check in was efficient and friendly. Several AC EV chargers on site, easy to use, fully charged in just a few hours. Room was light and airy, very comfortable, great bathroom & shower. Breakfast was really excellent.

Staff is very friendly. Alocation is quiet but still walking distance to some restaurants and the mall.

Great value for money, nice and friendly service and free parking. Although I have given negatives, overall the stay there was very good and worth the money.

Parking onsite, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Location near a Lidl was convenient. Not far from highway.
